Fraud Alert

Employment

Please be aware of spoof emails and fake job postings that appear to be from well-known companies, including Axela Construction. To bait you, an email or job posting may offer immediate employment, then ask you to submit personal information or begin work right away. These fraudulent messages attempt to gain your private information through deceptive methods.

Please note that Axela Construction does not extend employment offers without completing a thorough hiring process, including at least one face-to-face or virtual interview. We never request any form of payment from candidates at any stage of the hiring process.

If you receive a job offer from Axela Construction but have not completed an interview, the correspondence is fraudulent and should be disregarded.

Checks

Exercise caution if you receive unexplained checks that appear to come from Axela Construction or appear to be drawn from an Axela Construction bank account.

Axela Construction does not issue checks unless we are conducting business directly with the individual. Fraudulent checks are often used in scams to steal your identity or funds.

Do not deposit any check unless you can confirm its legitimacy.

Payment Instructions

Axela Construction is aware of third parties attempting to redirect payments using fraudulent emails or other methods. Do not accept or act upon any request to change payment instructions unless it comes directly from an Axela Construction executive, in writing via regular mail, and is followed up by a phone call to a verified Axela Construction office number.

Charitable Organizations

We’ve received reports of fraudulent solicitations sent to nonprofits, falsely claiming to represent Axela Construction and offering unsolicited donations in exchange for banking information.

Axela Construction will never request banking information to issue a donation. If you’d like more information on Axela Construction’s community outreach, please contact us directly through our verified company channels.

Fraudulent Purchase Orders

Fraudulent purchase order scams involve imposters posing as Axela Construction employees. They may use real names, fake email addresses, or spoofed phone numbers and request urgent materials or equipment.

They often:

  • Provide fake PO or contract numbers
  • Push for expedited orders
  • Ask for unattended deliveries without signatures

What You Can Do

Always verify orders directly with Axela Construction by contacting our main office or your usual point of contact.
Do not use any contact information provided in the suspicious communication.
Ask to speak with the Project Manager or Financial Manager for verification.
